If you have always wished that the OS which gave birth to the modern computing world should be more accessible to you – then today is your lucky day! It’s time for you to join a revolution, make a great leap forward, and start coding in Python!
We’ve made it a lot easier for you, too. Now, if you have never used any version of Python before and you are willing to start, you can get your hands on it, right away.
From the very beginning we wanted to share our success with the world. We wanted to make it easy for people to experiment with Python on their own computers. We knew it would be extremely helpful for young people just getting started in computer programming. We knew that people just getting started in computer programming will want to start experimenting, learning by doing, and then going on to make cool and innovative products. So, with this in mind, we decided to create PyOS from scratch and make it open source.
To be honest, we were also a bit nervous. Maybe we should’ve started somewhere else. Maybe we should’ve made an Operating System that was a little less open to everyone.
